ABOUT MATT:
Matt Cosgrove, lover of words, pictures and books in general, is the author and illustrator of the best-seller Macca the Alpaca, and many other picture books, including My Dad is a Robot and Thanks, Mum! His Epic Fail Tales series, which includes Snow Man and the Seven Ninjas, Attack of the Giant Robot Zombie Mermaid and Little Stunt Riding Hood, are totally disgusting, yet completely awesome, retellings of classic fairy tales with a twist. Guaranteed no sloppy kissing, no handsome princes and no happily ever after!
In a varied career spanning 25 years, Matt has been the creative director of Australian fashion magazine Marie Claire, lecturer in comic art at Western Sydney University and one of the guys who drew the catch phrases for the TV show Burgo’s Catch Phrase (really!). He has also campaigned tirelessly for the inclusion of Pictionary as an Olympic sport (not really – but he definitely should).
Alpacas With Maracas, was chosen as the National Simultaneous Storytime book for 2019 and had over 1 million kids across Australia and New Zealand reading together!

She enjoys reading funny books (she's a big fan of Anh Do, David Walliams) as well as Harry Potter and Rebel Girls books to name a few. She enjoyed reading Matt Cosgrove's books and loved when Al jumped in with the piranhas in Alpacas with Maracas.
She does a bit of acting on stage and film, plays basketball, runs cross country as well as tiggy, loves animals and likes to dress her dog up in various outfits. He’s not as fond of this as Natalia is!
