Allayne L. Webster is the author of eight books, a recipient of three SA Arts grants, a committee member of the Adelaide Festival for Children’s Literature and a SA Premier’s Reading Challenge Ambassador. She served for ten years as a board member of the Salisbury Writers Festival.
Paper Planes (Scholastic) was a 2016 CBCA Notable and shortlisted for the Adelaide Festival Awards. A Cardboard Palace (MidnightSun) was a 2018 CBCA Notable and published in Sweden. Allayne’s third YA novel, The Centre of My Everything (Penguin Random House) was released Feb 2018, as was her Junior Fiction novel, Sam’s Surfboard Showdown (Scholastic.) Her fourth novel, a middle grade/YA crossover, Sensitive (UQP) was released June 2019 – an #ownvoices story based on Allayne’s childhood illness.
